Our leather belts are made using vegetable tanned leather. Tanning leather in vegetables is a traditional method that takes months to complete. Unfortunately only 5% of leather is tanned this way nowadays as chemical tanning is fast and cheap (but environmentally unfriendly).

No power tools are used to make our belts. They are cut, dyed, decorated, waxed and stitched by hand using traditional methods.

For a unique look we can hand dye the leather. No two belts will ever be the same.

We can also 'tool' these belts, 'tooling' is stamping on a decoration/pattern.

The character in this style is fantastic.

We have three standard colours of belts.

Italian brown

Whisky tan

Italian black.

Our belts are going to very firm to begin with. All strong leather starts this way. With use though the leather will break in to be buttery soft

Our belts can be ordered in 1.5" (38mm) or 1" (25mm).

Our solid buckles (not hollow or welded) are brass gold or nickel silver.

We only use Full Grain Leather sourced from the finest tanneries.

Full grain means that the top layer of leather has not been removed. The top layer, like with your own skin, is where all the strength is. It is often removed and sold for a premium. Once the top grain has been removed, the leather is known as 'genuine leather'. Most people don't realise 'genuine leather' is a mark of inferiority.

By using the Full Grain we keep all the strength in the leather which means years and years of use and hopefully an item with a story and a unique patina to pass down the generations.

All of our goods are completely handmade using traditional methods and hand tools. Our stitched goods are handstitched using Super tough 'Tiger Thread' with a very strong saddle stitch technique. Our belts use solid buckles - not hollow or welded.

The best way to get a custom fit on your new belt is to measure the one you're currently wearing.

Measure from the hole you are currently using to where the leather meets the buckle. This will be your new centre hole.

If you can't do it this way let us know the waist size and we'll do the rest
