Really loving the tidy finish on this coat that I lined and altered for a client recently ✂️
The coat was overall a good fit, but the sleeves were too long and because it wasn’t lined, the coat wouldn’t slide on and off smoothly. I shortened the sleeves and gave the coat a thin satin lining, making it easier to wear and giving it a high-end finish 👌

A custom dress made for based on a dress she owned with a similar silhouette 🩵

The asymmetry and gathering posed some really interesting challenges when cutting and sewing this shape, but I am so happy with how the final piece looks on Bethany! And adding her own finishing touches with the coordinating fascinator feathers just made it 👌

Happy New Year and thank you all for keeping me busy this year!! I am so grateful that so many of you have trusted me with making and altering some truly special pieces, and feel so lucky that this is my job.

These photos are of me dressing Sarah before her wedding to Rob earlier this year. I made a small alteration to the dress, performed an emergency veil fix about one hour before the ceremony, made a bespoke silk garter and was there on the day to get Sarah laced up and ready without any stress.

I loved being a part of the getting ready stage, thanks for trusting me Sarah ❤️

A little while ago I had a message from a friend, asking whether I could make some alterations to a suit to make it more wheelchair friendly. Although not something I had done before, we worked together to decide how to make the suit fit better and more comfortably whilst in the wheelchair.

I worked on two different suits, shortening jackets, moving pockets, letting out trouser hems, extending the trouser rise and opening out the back seam, then adding elastic loops to help bring the waist back in without digging in at all.

This was a really interesting project and I am so glad that I was trusted with it, and that we managed to make these suits better fitting and much more wearable for the owner 😊

Back at the end of the summer, the lovely Andrea White asked me to make her a dress for a special performance with Who's Got The Dog ? 💙
We designed something that would make a statement, move beautifully on stage and be comfortable in the August heat under stage lighting, and she looked absolutely phenomenal.

Something that I have been spending a lot of time on recently is waterproof camera covers, and I was really proud to have been asked to make some special covers this year for 🎾

I have been lucky enough to work in some beautiful pieces over the last 6 months, but most of them had to be kept secret! This gorgeous wedding dress needed some length off of the bottom, so all 5 layers needed hemming! 😍

Finished off this big job the other day, that included lots of different services.

2 x dresses fitted and taken in
1 x dress added an additional panel for a bit more room around the hips
1 x top repaired by hand where the fabric had frayed
1 x coat buttons re-attached
1 x vintage leather coat stitching and lining repaired by hand
1 x coat fully re-lined and pockets re-lined

A good coat is a real investment and can last for decades, but sometimes the lining just doesn’t survive as well as the outside! This coat lining needed a lot of love, but replacing the lining makes it look almost like a brand new coat!

After 5 years of commuting to London, today I am doing the final train journey. Yes maybe I am mad for being stubborn enough to refuse to give up on either the place I wanted to live or the career I wanted to have, but it’s definitely been a rollercoaster.

Time to spend the rest of my 20s not on a train, if anyone wants any clothes made or altered, now’s your chance 😬

A year late, but this week I finally got to graduate from 👩‍🎓

It’s been a busy year and feels like university ended a long time ago, but I am grateful to have been thrown straight into industry and it was lovely to briefly catch up with some of the .intimates team ❤️

Hand finished silk flowers and stitch detailing on the miniature tulle neckline. I love how the boning manages to create structure even on the tiny wooden mannequin.

I was inspired by and wanted to look at the juxtaposition of beauty and suffering, as an outlet for anxiety surrounding the pandemic.

So glad I pushed myself to do something a bit different.

Last year during lockdown I pushed myself to do something out of the ordinary and made this tiny corset dress with tulle, hand pleated silk, real boning channels and handmade silk flowers. I had to cut the boning down into tiny strips to feed in and hand finish, there is even a tulle underskirt and a little silver chain belt.

I was inspired by and wanted to look at the juxtaposition of beauty and suffering, as an outlet for anxiety surrounding the pandemic.

I loved making this and am really proud of how it turned out.
