Right on cue, the British weather provides today’s inspiration ☔️.

As the rain falls across our Midlands home, we’re taking a closer look at a piece designed for days just like this.

TechnicalFabrics MensStyle

Our raincoat combines a clean, timeless silhouette with the performance of technical gabardine, creating a lightweight layer that offers protection from the elements while sitting comfortably over the rest of your wardrobe.

Over tailoring for the working day, with knitwear and separates at the weekend, or simply kept close at hand for those occasions when the British forecast inevitably changes its mind.

Stylish, functional and reassuringly useful.

Made for days like today.

A suit made for the journey.

There is a reason seersucker makes such a compelling choice for summer travel.

Its naturally puckered surface means creasing becomes part of the character of the cloth rather than something to worry about. Woven here in lightweight wool by , it also offers greater natural resilience than the cotton seersucker most of us are familiar with.
Pack it, wear it, give it a light steam when you arrive and get on with the trip.

The dark brown makes it particularly easy to style. It sits comfortably with both brown and black shoes, works with classic shirting or fine knitwear, and the jacket can be separated from the trousers when the occasion becomes more relaxed.

From the journey to the meeting, dinner and whatever comes next.

Seersucker, perhaps not as you know it.

For Q3 of The Quarterly Capsule, Richard introduces a brown summer-weight wool seersucker, woven in Italy by .

The distinctive crinkled surface of seersucker helps hold the cloth away from the body, encouraging airflow and giving it the relaxed, airy feel that has made it a summer staple.

The surprise here is the wool.

In a lightweight construction, wool is remarkably well suited to warmer weather, helping to regulate temperature and manage moisture while bringing beautiful drape and resilience to the cloth.

Richard has kept the styling equally relaxed: a classic single-breasted, two-button jacket with notch lapels and a soft shoulder, paired with pleated trousers.

Dress it with a shirt when the occasion calls for it, soften it with fine knitwear, or break the suit apart and wear the pieces as separates.
A little texture, a lot of versatility, and a different way to think about summer tailoring.

The summer work shirt.

For Q3 of The Quarterly Capsule, Richard looks at one of our favourite cloth combinations for warmer weather: cotton and linen.
Linen brings exceptional breathability, moisture management and durability, while cotton adds structure and helps the shirt retain a cleaner appearance throughout the day.

Together, they create a fabric particularly well suited to a busy summer diary.

Shown here in classic white and blue, these are shirts that can sit comfortably beneath tailoring for work, carry you through a summer wedding, or earn their place in the suitcase when travelling.

And while we have kept the Q3 wardrobe deliberately restrained, our made-to-measure shirting collection offers almost limitless possibilities in cloth, colour, collar, cuff and finishing details.

A softer approach to summer dressing.

Fine knitwear brings colour, texture and ease to a summer wardrobe, while retaining the refinement needed to sit naturally alongside tailoring.

A buttonless polo beneath a softly constructed jacket. Fine merino paired simply with tailored trousers. A subtle change of colour to give a familiar combination an entirely different character.

For Q3 of The Quarterly Capsule, we have used lightweight knitwear to create variety without adding unnecessary complexity to the wardrobe.

Our made-to-measure collection includes Loro Piana S160s ultra-fine merino, with a choice of colours, silhouettes and personal details including contrast trims and embroidery.

Breathable enough for warmer days, refined enough for the occasions that fill the summer diary.

Knitwear for the height of summer.

For Q3 of The Quarterly Capsule, Richard introduces Loro Piana's S160s ultra-fine merino, available through our made-to-measure knitwear collection.

Styled here as a buttonless polo, the exceptionally fine merino creates a lightweight, breathable layer that retains the refinement of knitwear without feeling heavy in warmer weather.

Wear it beneath soft tailoring, pair it with lightweight trousers, or let it become the centrepiece of a more relaxed summer look.

Our made-to-measure offering also allows you to make the piece your own, with a choice of styling, contrast trims and personal embroidery.
A considered summer layer, made for you.

Summer tailoring comes into its own through texture, colour and cloth.

For Q3 of The Quarterly Capsule, we have introduced a softer, lighter approach to the tailored wardrobe.

The taupe of Loro Piana's wool, silk and linen Summertime cloth brings depth and subtle texture to the double-breasted suit, while an oatmeal Irish linen from offers a more relaxed expression of the tailored jacket.

Both sit naturally alongside the colours already established within the Quarterly Capsule, while bringing something distinctly seasonal to the wardrobe.

Up close, it is the character of these fabrics that makes the difference. The irregularity of linen, the softness of the weave, subtle variations in colour and the breathability of natural fibres.

Tailoring designed to be enjoyed throughout the summer, from the working week to weddings, travel and everything in between.

Summer tailoring should feel as good as it looks.

For Q3 of The Quarterly Capsule, we introduce two pieces designed around warmer days and a busy summer diary.

A taupe double-breasted suit in Loro Piana's iconic Summertime quality, blending wool, silk and linen to create a lightweight, breathable cloth with beautiful texture and drape.

Alongside it, an oatmeal Irish linen jacket from Brisbane Moss, softly tailored and designed to work effortlessly with the trousers, shirts and knitwear already established within the wardrobe.

Natural fibres, soft construction and a lighter seasonal palette make both ideal for summer, whether the diary calls for work, a wedding, travel or an evening out.

The Quarterly Capsule enters summer.

For Q3, we take the wardrobe built throughout the year and refine it for warmer days and a fuller summer diary.

Work, weddings, travel, evenings out. Lightweight fabrics, breathable fibres and a seasonal shift in colour help the same wardrobe move comfortably between them.

As always, every addition has been considered alongside what came before. More combinations, greater versatility and fewer decisions when getting dressed.

Welcome to The Quarterly Capsule | Q3: The Summer Wardrobe.
