There's a little exhibition on display in my mezzanine shop from tomorrow as part of Scarborough Art. Mostly new mixed media assemblage artworks. I've been a tad quiet about it as it was touch and go as to whether the exhibition would be happening. It's been a rough week to say the least, we had to say an emotional goodbye to our cat Earl Grey a couple of days ago. 🩶 It has been a struggle to get everything done but I've surprised myself and pulled it all together.

Installation of our Wonders of the Wild artworks has been well underway today. Working with Cross Lane Hospital we have created large scale sculptures and art based on birds. In conjunction with and Scarborough Fair. Thanks to for all the help!

Mezzanine shop opening hours for this month. I'm mostly open the usual 10am to 4pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday but there are a few days when this changes. Also, I will be closed on the 1st and 2nd this week for some exhibition installations at the OPO and the shop. Let's hope July is a little calmer with the weather and it is nicely warm not absolutely boiling! 🌞🤞😎

I'm in the shop today creating a flock of seagulls to put in tiny bottles. These are one of my most popular miniatures and I've only got one left so thought I'd better make more. There's a new dapper chap sneaked in, can you spot him? I'll be doing a small run of the seagull with a neckerchief to see how they go.

I'm here at the market mezzanine until 4pm today and will be open tomorrow 10am to 4pm.

Why is it I always have a creative block and don't find any inspiration until a few weeks before a deadline?! I'm busy working away in my studio getting ready for a little exhibition of assemblage art in my market mezzanine shop for The Scarborough Fair/Scarborough Art. Called "Self Assembly: Foraged. Found. Boxed." It will run from 4th July until 1st August, open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays 10am to 4pm.

Lots going on behind the scenes away from the shop this week - working on both some new art and the Wonders of the Wild project. At Cross Lane Hospital we've been doing papier mache, mark making, painting and collage to create a robin and bird eggs.

Getting ready for Coble Market tomorrow - there's fresh stock making its way out ready for the busy day. Here's a little peek into some of the new pieces... yet again it's a real eclectic mix! There's lots more to see in the shop so do pop down, plenty of things that would make quirky Father's Day gifts. Plus, the bunting and signage is out ready for Scarborough Art and The Scarborough Fair starting in July.
