Introducing our first ever North American Lafont brand ambassador. Our good friend Ron McKinlay is currently based in Toronto but travelling and cooking around the world. Ron has an incredible career to date having learnt his trade in Edinburgh, Scotland, where he worked for 4 years at , and subsequently moved to Australia where he was part of the team that opened Maze in Melbourne with Gordon Ramsay.

We caught up with Ron in Edinburgh for a fantastic four-hands dinner at The Little Chartroom where Ron and Roberta Hall took a trip down memory lane from when they worked together at Tom Kitchin.

The next day we got together at eòrna for the photo shoot with Ron where we took first ever shots of the new navy Basil jacket which launches later this summer. Huge thanks to Brian Grigor for allowing us to shoot in his beautiful restaurant.

Excited to introduce the fourth of our new young brand ambassadors - . Kate has become a prominent chef in the UK, having worked for 3 Michelin starred chefs Gordon Ramsay and Bjorn Frantzen and having become the world’s youngest ever female head chef at a 2 Michelin starred restaurant, plus being the only ever female chef to win the main course on Great British Menu.

Kate now runs her own private catering company austenevents.co.uk and cooks at prestigious events such as the Silverstone British Grand Prix and for prestigious clients such as Rolex.

We’re so happy to welcome Kate to our Lafont family 🥰

Following Kirk Haworth and Spencer Metzger, it’s exciting to introduce our third new young Lafont brand ambassador - .

Having trained in some of the worlds leading restaurants, including four years with Pierre Koffmann at The Berkeley, Ben opened in the autumn of 2025, taking over the former site of Monica Galleti’s Mere restaurant, and immediately being recognised by the Michelin Guide.

74 Charlotte Street offers a fantastic menu with a choice of tasting and à la carte menus with a superb wine list.

Introducing the second of our four new young Lafont brand ambassadors, and not really needing any introduction, already has an incredible cv; L’enclume, The Ritz, Row on 5, Roux Scholar, and now about to open his first restaurant Chez Rose, plus currently nominated for Chef of the Year and the proud holder of two Michelin stars with at Row on 5!

In addition to all of that, Spencer is a great friend and lovely fella to spend time with. Another huge welcome to the Lafont family 👏🏻🥰🤩🫶🏻

is undoubtedly one of the best new openings of 2025 in London. and his team are delivering great food from a fantastic menu that offers both tasting and à la carte options, accompanied by a superb wine list. This is simply excellent, affordable food in the centre of London in a beautiful environment.

Time to properly welcome to our Lafont family as one of our new brand ambassadors. Kirk’s personal story is well known to everyone in the industry and is the first plant-based restaurant ever to win a Michelin star in the UK.

Kirk always wears khaki and we shot Kirk in our Gombo and Basil chef jackets (Basil is our best selling jacket and the new khaki colour will be available to buy this summer in short and long sleeves)
