When a cake becomes a work of art 🚴♂️🎂
Jo put her creative skills to the test recently when she was asked to make a 60th birthday cake for a serious cycling fanatic!
As usual, there was no holding back when it came to the detail. Hours of planning, creating, fiddling, tweaking and adding those little finishing touches that probably only the cake maker notices… but that's all part of the fun!
The challenge was to create something that was not only delicious, but really personal to the birthday boy and his love of cycling. And, of course, Jo couldn't resist getting stuck into all the little details.
The best bit? His reaction when he received it.
“It’s seriously a piece of art! So much detail and work has gone into it. I’m really gobsmacked and somewhat overwhelmed. I almost don’t want to eat it!”
That reaction made all those hours completely worthwhile.
There’s something so satisfying about taking a blank canvas (or in this case, several layers of cake!) and turning it into something completely unique.
Now the big question… do you actually cut into a cake when it looks this good?!
