Ria’s Sewing Room Ria’s Sewing Room So, I'm Ria, RiRi, Nanny RiRi or officially Maria. My husband Clifford and I are fortunate enough to both be retired and enjoy time together.

We have 2 sons who have flown the family nest and now share their own nests with their wives and families-Luke's being my gorgeous 2 grandchildren, Matt's being 2 fur babies. After working part time for my son Luke for 10 years I retired when Clifford retired from London Fire Brigade and while we enjoy having the freedom to do what we want-we also quite like time to enjoy our own hobbies. Clifford

's a 'hunter gatherer' happiest on a boat in middle of the sea, with a fishing rod!-perfect for giving me time in my sewing room for my hobby! I attended a few sewing courses, making quilts, a couple of craft bits and a pouffe etc. I learnt a lot, including my way round a sewing machine my capabilities and what I did and didn't enjoy. I tried a couple of craft patterns, made things for my grandchildren -they always get the first of anything appropriate for them!🥰
Friends and family were telling me I should sell what I was making, so that's me now doing a few craft fairs and thought I'd share my making journey with you. Hope you enjoy it.

Made these 3 lovely handbags last week, all fully lined, stiffened with a heavy stabiliser, inside zipped pocket and keyrings holder and reinforced bottom.
Sold the swirls on black as soon as I put it in my stall!
