This is a rare vintage 'The Original Buffercoat' by Invertere of Newton Abbot, a classic piece of British heritage outerwear. Crafted from heavy-wale tan cotton corduroy, it features a distinctive shawl collar and a warm 100% pure wool tartan plaid lining.

This specific piece was originally retailed by Ronald Beck of Shrewsbury. It includes a four-button front, slanted welt pockets, and side vents for ease of movement. A perfect example of mid-century English country style.
