We’re currently on the lookout for Visitor Services Volunteers!

Join our talented volunteers who assist us in bringing contemporary fashion and textile design to life. Volunteers make a vital difference to our work, and we are extremely grateful to all our volunteers whose time and effort bring so much to the Fashion and Textile Museum and its visitors. Every volunteer offers invaluable support to the Museum whilst also gaining experience in the museum sector.

This volunteering opportunity will begin from 26 September 2025 with the opening of our next exhibition Costume Couture: Sixty Years of Cosprop. Closing date for Visitor Service Volunteers is Sunday 24 August 2025 at 5pm.

Let's look at 'Couture Inside Out'!

Led by members of the Fashion and Textile Museum Exhibitions team, this workshop provides a rare opportunity to view the ins and outs of couture design. Take an up-close and intimate look at selected garments from the Fashion and Textile Museum Collection and discuss some of the many fascinating stories behind the clothes.

Participants will have the opportunity to examine the internal structure and sewing techniques of garments from Couture houses including Chanel, Dior and Balenciaga alongside other curated highlights from our collection.
