Hello everyone! I’m Hollie the founder of Little Nest Support.

After more than 15 years supporting families as a Maternity Support Worker, I’ve taken the exciting step of starting Little Nest Support – offering gentle, practical postnatal support for parents across West Oxfordshire.

Whether you’re adjusting to life with a newborn, looking for infant feeding support, need a listening ear, or simply want an extra pair of hands around the home, I’m here to provide personalised support that fits your family’s needs.

I’m looking forward to launching in September and would love for you to follow my page or share it with anyone who may benefit.

You can find out more at littlenestsupport.co.uk

Thank you so much for your support – I’m excited to become part of our local parenting community. 🤍🌿

Little Nest Support provides compassionate postnatal support in Oxfordshire, including infant feeding guidance, newborn care and practical support for families. Backed by 15 years of NHS maternity experience.

💦☀Following careful consideration, Witney Town Council has decided to make use of a permitted exemption to the temporary Thames Water hosepipe ban, allowing the Splash Park at The Leys to remain open on a reduced schedule during the school holidays.

The Council recognises the importance of conserving water while also providing a safe and accessible place for local children and families to cool off—particularly as many households are unable to use paddling pools during the ban. The exemption exists to allow councils to strike this balance where there is a clear community benefit.

From tomorrow, the Splash Park will be open 10.00 am–12.00 noon, close between 12.00 noon and 2.00 pm, and then reopen until 5.00 pm. These revised hours reduce overall water use while responding to feedback from families who prefer to avoid the period of direct overhead sun and enjoy the facilities in the morning and later in the afternoon.

The Splash Park has been designed with water efficiency in mind. Sequenced jets maximise play value while using less water, and the water features only operate for five minutes after the foot-activated button is pressed before automatically switching off until they are needed again.

Witney Town Council will continue to monitor the arrangement throughout the hosepipe ban and thanks residents for their understanding and support. By combining sensible water-saving measures with practical community benefits, the Council aims to protect the environment while keeping this valued local facility available for families to enjoy.
