When I was little, my maternal Grandma (Dorothy May was her maiden name) told me stories of the war and particularly how she and her 3 sisters had made their own underwear from parachute silk. Inspired by this story, by the sewing skills she handed down and by her style, Dorothy May… aims to recreate the underwear of the time, in dedication to her memory.
