One thing about Kua… you never know who you’ll meet or the conversations that will unfold 😊

Had the pleasure of hosting Lamar Tyler and his group at the shop and of course, shopping quickly turned into a full conversation 😄

We talked about how Kua started, what it really looks like running a business in Ghana, and everything in between… the good, the challenging, and the beautiful.

Moments like this remind me that Kua is more than a store. It’s a space for connection, stories, and community 🤍

Sometimes nature does the design work better than any of us ever could.
These agate and druzy rings are little reminders of that.

Each one formed slowly over time, layer by layer, until something this beautiful emerged. No two are the same, which is exactly what makes them special.

I always say that when you wear a piece like this, you’re not just wearing jewelry. You’re wearing a tiny work of art that the earth created long before it ever reached our studio.

There’s something about going back to the place that shaped you.

It has been over thirty years since I graduated from this high school. The uniforms may change. The buildings may expand. The girls get younger every year, or maybe we’re just getting older 😅 But the spirit is still there.

Speech Day weekend at Wesley Girls’ High School is never just about speeches and prizes. It’s about sisterhood. It’s about giving back to our school. It’s about the teachers who believed in us before we believed in ourselves. It’s about friendships that have stretched across decades, continents, marriages, children, careers… life.

Standing there this year, surrounded by my sisters, I felt deep gratitude.

For education.
For discipline.
For exposure.
For the confidence to walk into any room and hold my own.

We don’t talk about it enough, how much our school environments shape the women we become. The standards. The excellence. The expectation that you show up prepared.

Wesley Girls gave many of us more than certificates. It gave us backbone. It gave us voice. It gave us each other.

And for that, I’m thankful 💚💛
