Saturday Word Supper

" *Bridges in Christ*"

"BEHOLD, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! "- Psalm 133:1 (KJV).

Glory be to God for another time feeding on His Word. A bridge is a platform that makes it easy for mankind to cross rivers without getting into the river. In other words, bridges serves as a medium to help people move from one destination to the other. In Christ Jesus, we have been made "bridges" for each other. Christ is in Heaven and His body is on earth. He is the head of the body and we are His body. Every member in the body of Christ is suppose to give a helping hand to each other in order to make the body effective and effectual on this earth.

As a man takes decisions in his mind but his hands and other parts of his body implement, the same way we believers are God's power house here on earth to implement God's plans. Anything God will do, He will do through us and with us. However, it's unfortunate that with this royal status that God has given to the man in Christ, there are few issues of misunderstanding and conflicts among believers over petty issues. Our opening verse says, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. As believers, we have been brought to the household of God. Our relationship with God is a Father-Children one. Even before the foundation of the Earth, the three distinct personalities in the Being of God (Godhead) were loving themselves (1 John 5:7). This is why God is Love.

Now the question as prophet Amos asks is: "Can two walk together except they agree?"- Amos 3:3. If in God is Love, then to walk with Him successfully, we should walk in love towards each other too. We must support what other believers are doing and not pull them back instead. The way to shine in the body of Christ is to be a bridge for other believers. "For by this shall men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another"- John 13:35. Glory!

YOU ARE BECOMING A BRIDGE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST TO SUPPORT OTHERS IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME. AMEN

Saturday Word Supper

" *The Learned's Tongue*"

"The Lord GOD has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary...." - Isaiah 50:4 (KJV).

Glory be to God for another time feeding on His Word. It is one thing having a message for the troubled one and another thing knowing how to deliver the message. The reason why Paul the apostle always prayed that God should give him utterance is that he would be able to share the right message at the right time. In our opening verse, Isaiah the prophet said that the LORD had given him the tongue of the learned that he should know how to speak a word in season to the weary. The Learned's tongue quenches emotional trauma and reduces pain.

There is an African story about an elephant that found the nest of an ostrich. The mother ostrich had gone off to a river for a drink. The elephant saw the exposed eggs, and big elephant tears rolled down her trunk. "How can a mother be so irresponsible and leave her eggs unprotected? Well, until she returns, I will help out". Therefore, the elephant, with material concern, sat on the nest. The dangerous results, was of course scrambled eggs. In this scenario we can see that the elephant had a concern for the abandoned eggs but did not have the right solution for them.

This explains why it is not just enough to be concerned about the troubled hearted, but we must have a word in season in every moment to the weary. Sometimes many people are walking and smiling but within them are weary and sad. Some would be bold to put their feelings in public but others would not. As Christians, we are instructed to encourage each other all the time. We must therefore pray that God would give us utterance whenever we are encouraging others. The tongue of the learned is the tongue in a man who is studious in the word of God. Study the word well and the Holy Spirit would give you right utterances at right times to encourage the weary. Glory!

YOU ARE RECEIVING DIVINE UTTERANCES IN ORDER TO SPEAK A WORD IN SEASON ALWAYS IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.
