TARIFFS GROW UP
“Health is wealth,” so they say, a lure
To dig deep in our pockets for the cure.
Yes, health is wealth, of that we’re sure.

The standard of living makes its leap,
And every tariff climbs so steep.
But does the salary earner’s pay,
Keep pace within this burning day?
They grant us 9% to stay…

Hypocrites who rule our land,
With democracy in hand,
Hold the masses in contempt.
Tell me, who will charge them with contempt?

Talk of water, talk of light,
Talk of fuel, a constant blight.
Yet they swear inflation cools, it dips to single digits…
Mr Man, do you feel it in your bones?
We are living in the gulf between the graph and all its groans.

Will man ever break free?
Don't we grow, like trees, wild and carefree?
Isn't man like a sunflower, bold and bright?
Boasting power, till sunset's fading light.

Yet, in Twilight's Hush, the truth is revealed:
Our strength is borrowed, our time concealed.
Man never is, what he seems to be,
So tread with care and humility.

Heed the leaves that fall, whispers of fate,
And the gospel call, before it's too late.
Don't soar too high, lest you forget,
Six feet of earth, our final debt.

Tone down, dear friend, and heed this tale,
Enjoy life's trends, but don't set sail.
For, in the end, we all must face,
The same fate, in a commonplace.

CONCERT in the HOUSE
In hallowed halls, where leaders should unite,
A senseless revolt rages, day and night.
Elected voices, sworn to serve the land,
Now clash and scramble, hand in hand.

Their concert of division, a sorrowful refrain,
Drowns out the whispers of the common man's pain.
Majority seats, the prize they fiercely fight,
While progress languishes, lost in the dark of night.

Their king, once hailed as a unifying force,
Now locks the doors, unable to endorse,
The chaos that consumes, the discord that reigns,
A madhouse where reason's voice is vain.

But we, the people, watch and wait,
Our eyes on every move, our voices raise the weight,
Of accountability, of truth and justice too,
For in this House of Representatives, our future's brewed.

On December 7, we are ready with our thumbs,
To endorse or change as our blood pumps!

Let them say it not as seen but as they hear,
Let them snare, but notice their traps, my dear!

Let them talk as they refuse to walk the talk.
Let them be loud, but keep a loud silence and walk.

Let them do as they please, but never freeze.
Be of few words moving in silence to life’s breeze…

Hold your grounds, stand firm!
Admire how far you've progressed, God did!
Be kind, be forgiving, be human, be fair and firm!
Man’s tongue kills more than a sword, be God-led!
