We are writing to inform you of an exciting shift in our business model!
As you know, we began Amano Marketplace during the height of the pandemic, to connect Peruvian and Guatemalan artisanal nonprofits and brands with socially-minded consumers like yourself. As our world has slowly returned to a new normal, we’ve been pushed to think critically about the value that we can create for both artisans and for you.
After reflecting on Amano’s long-term goals and visions, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be transitioning Amano Marketplace into a business-to-business model. As such, we will be ending the direct retail part of our work, and we will begin to work as liaisons with the goal of connecting our artisan partners with interested social brands and entrepreneurs.
This is why, from now until June first, we are offering a 30% off site-wide sale. All you have to do is apply the code “AMANO30” at check-out!

Today we celebrate Martin Luther King, whose vision and leadership on social equity and justice remains relevant today, across the Americas.
As MLK said, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere,” and this could not be more true in LatAm, which remains the most unequal region in the world with 10% of the people holding 71% of the wealth.
As a Latam based company, we primarily focus on supporting indigenous women artisans through fair trade – which is just one way to redistribute wealth and support historically marginalized groups.
Everyone has a role to play in making our world a more equitable place for all. Here are some actions you can take today to combat social injustice in your community.
