Fjällräven Polar was first held in 1997, after founder Åke Nordin teamed up with one of Sweden’s top dog-sled drivers. Inspired by the Iditarod — considered the world’s toughest sled dog race — they created a Swedish version for the general public. It quickly became a success, drawing thousands of applications.

After a pause, Fjällräven Polar returned in 2012 without the competition element, focusing instead on giving participants the chance to experience life north of the Arctic Circle and inspiring more people to discover the natural world. Proving how fantastic outdoor life can be in winter, and that anyone can be an Arctic explorer, today Fjällräven Polar is one of our most beloved unique adventures.

It’s considered to be quite a Swedish trait, being quiet and slightly reserved. We’re not known for our small talk or exuberant behaviour.

At Fjällräven, we often favour the subtle placement of logos and wordmarks over garish branding. However, even we like to shout it from the rooftops now and then. Sometimes we just want a big, bold logo to wear with pride and show others we meet along the trail that we’re part of the Fjällräven community. Telling the world we’re nature lovers who value durable and timeless designs over fast fashion.

Unforgettable adventure through the heart of the Lake District 🇬🇧

Over 3 days and 50km of stunning-yet-sometimes-rugged trails, we trekked past waterfalls, ancient woodlands, mountain passes, and finished at a historical castle. 🏰

The views? Breathtaking.The weather? All four seasons in one trek. 🌞🌧️💨🥶

Here’s to muddy boots, amazing fells and valleys, campsite stories, and a community of trekkers who embraced it all. ⛰️💚
