On January 27, our Chairman, Marjorie Yang, had the honor of moderating a panel discussion at the Asian Financial Forum 2026 – Global Business Summit titled “Unlocking Opportunities in High Growth Consumer Markets”.

The discussion centered on key topics such as shifts in consumer expectations, investment opportunities for expansion, adaptation to supply chain disruptions, and the challenge of balancing sustainability with profitability. The panel also explored Hong Kong’s vital role as a testing ground for new products and concepts before entering China and broader Asian markets.

We are pleased to share that Esquel is featured in the HKUST Li & Fung Supply Chain Institute’s Global Supply Chain Report 2025, which examines how sustainability and resilience are reshaping global supply chains.

Within the apparel sector, the report highlights Esquel’s initiatives in R&D, smart manufacturing, and innovation. Notably, it showcases our Waterless Dyeing technology, which achieves a remarkable 95% reduction in water use during the dyeing process. This example illustrates how long-term investment in innovation can enhance both operational efficiency and environmental performance.

The report also includes insights from Calvin Tsang, Chairman of Esquel China, who emphasized that sustainability is crucial for long-term survival and requires unwavering commitment in the face of challenges. On December 14, Esquel was recognized as a 2025 China ESG Excellence Case at the 2025 Corporate ESG Sustainable Development Conference held in Shenzhen, jointly organized by the China Enterprise Reform and Development Society and China Comment.

On December 10, our CFO, Wilkie Wong, spoke at the ACCA GBA CFO Summit 2025 on the panel “覺醒：認知重塑，CFO進化之路”, sharing insights on how finance leadership can evolve to create greater business value.

Wilkie emphasized that finance must go beyond traditional reporting to truly understand the core drivers of business performance. He highlighted the importance of understanding how value is created on the ground — in our operations, with our people, and across our supply chain. When financial insights are rooted in the realities of daily operations, they become more meaningful, timely, and actionable.

He concluded by reaffirming that the evolution of finance lies in partnership and purpose. When finance and operations work together with a shared purpose, they strengthen decision-making, enable long-term value creation, and help organizations navigate change with clarity and confidence.

On December 5, our Chairman Marjorie Yang joined the 2025 Yidan Prize Summit as a panelist in the session “Agents of Change: How Do We Cultivate Leaders at Every Level?”, offering her reflections on the experiences and qualities that shape leaders at every stage.

Marjorie spoke about how resilience is built through practice and lived experiences, highlighting the important role sports play in helping young people learn to navigate setbacks, adapt, and grow with confidence. On November 27, Calvin Tsang, Chairman of Esquel China, delivered a keynote at the Hong Kong Textile and Garment Industry Conference 2025 titled “Declaration of a Game-Changer: Traditional Textiles Embracing Sustainable Technology,” sharing Esquel’s approach to technology-driven transformation and sustainable value creation.

Calvin highlighted how Esquel is strengthening its innovation engine across R&D, smart manufacturing, digitalization, and a human-centric approach to operations. He shared how solutions such as Waterless Dyeing, AI fabric inspection, and smart factory systems are enabling more efficient production while reducing environmental impact.

The conference also unveiled the findings of the Hong Kong Textile and Garment Industry Report, which highlights key trends reshaping our industry. Calvin participated in a vibrant panel discussion, emphasizing the importance of cross-sector collaboration, continuous innovation, and responsible business practices in driving the textile industry forward.

On November 3, our Chairman, Marjorie Yang, participated in the Women Chief Executives (WCE) Summit 2025, joining a panel of inspiring women leaders to discuss the importance of nurturing the next generation of female leaders.

In her remarks, she encouraged aspiring leaders to formulate plans while remaining adaptable: “Make plans but be agile.” Marjorie shared the stage with other notable women leaders, including Angelle Siyang-Le, Director of Art Basel Hong Kong; Vicky Kong, Chief Executive of Citibank (Hong Kong) Limited and Head of Wealth, Asia North and Australia at Citi; and Camille Cheng, a celebrated Olympic swimmer from Hong Kong.
