On June 21, our Chairman, Marjorie Yang, joined the 2026 APEC China CEO Forum in Beijing. Participating as the Hong Kong, China Representative to the ABAC, she joined regional leaders to discuss advancing open cooperation across the Asia-Pacific.

During the panel discussion on forging a new consensus for the FTAAP, Marjorie shared her insights on the urgency of navigating supply chain restructuring and global inflation pressures. She highlighted how a dual-track approach can combine top-down institutional negotiations with bottom-up, practical outcomes that empower micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. The dialogue also explored the importance of comprehensive trade digitalization and the MLETR framework to ensure fair competition.

She concluded by reaffirming that openness is the cornerstone of sustainable growth, providing the foundation upon which the group can build resilient supply chains, drive innovation, and power tomorrow's interconnected global economy.

Queenie Huang, our Chief People Officer, recently joined the Lean Global Network in a new feature exploring how lean thinking can transform employee well-being and organizational performance.

In her article, Cooking up change, Queenie shared how Esquel reimagined the dining experience at Integral Garden. Guided by the belief that people are the foundation of sustainable performance, the team set out not simply to upgrade a canteen, but to redesign the entire dining system.

Through lean thinking, digital tools, and continuous improvement, the initiative improved employee wellness, created new opportunities for skill development, and increased operational productivity by more than 50%.

A new chapter for textile and apparel innovation in the Greater Bay Area.

Esquel is proud to join the Gaoming District Government and Gaoming Development Group in establishing the InnoFashion Eco-Valley—a collaborative platform that will bring together innovation, sustainability, and industry resources to support the future development of the textile and apparel sector.

Expected to welcome its first resident enterprises later this year, the Eco-Valley will help accelerate the adoption of new technologies, strengthen industry collaboration, and create pathways from R&D to commercialization.

On May 30, Teresa Yang, our Vice Chairman, joined RTHK's Big Climate live broadcast to discuss the relationship between sustainable fashion and Nature-based Solutions. She shared Esquel’s vertically integrated supply chain model and our journey in sustainable innovation.

During the program, Teresa shared how supporting and empowering cotton farmers help drive quality and create shared value. She also highlighted our early investments in wastewater treatment systems and pioneering waterless dyeing technology.

The dialogue also explored the evolution of Integral, our Sustainable Development Garden in Guilin. Rooted in the Ten Suchnesses philosophy, Integral has transformed from a degraded brick factory into a thriving ecosystem where environmental restoration, sustainable manufacturing, and innovation come together. She also introduced Fragrant Hill Garden, where traditional dye plants are being preserved and developed for future applications.

Esquel's sporting spirit was in full swing last weekend! 🏃‍♂️🐉🏀

On May 23-24, Esquel hosted the 21st Sports Day and 12th Dragon Boat Championship in Gaoming, bringing the One Esquel Family together for two days of vibrant activity. The annual gathering united our colleagues to celebrate sportsmanship, strengthen collaboration, and foster meaningful connections.

The two-day event featured a variety of competitions and activities, including the Wellness Run, traditional dragon boat races, badminton, table tennis and volleyball matches, and our debut Basketball Friendly Match. At Esquel, we believe people's well-being is at the heart of everything we do. Through activities like these, we continue to bring our “Work well, Live well” philosophy and eCulture to life.

On May 9, our Chairman, Marjorie Yang, joined an exchange event at the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management in Beijing, where around 160 MBA students from Harvard Business School gathered with Tsinghua faculty and students to discuss “China’s economy under the leadership of new technology”.

During the roundtable discussion, Marjorie shared Esquel’s long-standing connection with Tsinghua and the Group’s journey of innovation and sustainable development. She highlighted how businesses can embrace AI and emerging technologies while remaining mindful of their broader social impact.
