All of my creations are crafted by me with an obsessive attention to detail. I have a selection of ready-to-buy and ready-to-wear pieces in my shop, and I also take commissions for bespoke pieces. GALWAY RACES || • A sculptural statement piece, where equestrian heritage meets contemporary millinery artistry • ||

A beautiful bespoke headpiece, ordered by my lovely customer, Ilga Novicova from Ballinasloe, specially created to complement her stunning ivory and emerald green dress, beautifully paired with her golden accessories.
Ilga wore this design to the Ladies Day event at the Galway Races Summer Festival, held at Ballybrit on 31st July 2026.

This is the Firenze Headpiece.

A medium-sized perching domed button base with a softly curved edge, hand-blocked in buckram and covered in emerald green poly shantung.
The design is crowned with a sculptural horseshoe, individually cut, shaped and covered in the same emerald green poly shantung. The horseshoe is finished with a gold braided trim embellished with delicate gold sequins and tiny gold pearls, while the reverse is neatly covered in green felt for a beautifully refined finish.

The horseshoe is hand-sewn to the base and reinforced with a metal support wrapped in emerald green satin and anchored to the base beneath a hand-sewn cluster of pearls and faceted crystal beads in varying shades of green and gold, creating both strength and a beautiful decorative detail.

Standing proudly within the horseshoe is a striking rearing horse, 3D printed and meticulously hand-painted in antique gold. The horse is mounted on its own base, which is securely hand-sewn to the headpiece, ensuring both stability and a seamless finish.

Fully lined in golden satin and edged with a golden braided trim, the headpiece is secured with a double millinery elastic for a comfortable fit.

Entirely hand-sewn, wonderfully lightweight, and exceptionally easy to wear, it is a design that commands attention while remaining elegant from every angle.

The original concept for this piece was inspired by Ilga’s own vision and love of horses. Working closely together, I developed and refined the design, transforming her idea into a sculptural couture headpiece through my own interpretation and craftsmanship.

A beautiful headpiece worn by Geraldine Grealy to attend the Brunch at The Hardiman event last Wednesday at The Hardiman Hotel in Galway, one of the standout events of the Galway Races week.

This is the Genova Headpiece.

Handcrafted from natural ivory straw, this sculptural design is individually draped and hand-shaped before being meticulously mounted onto a golden satin-covered headband.

The piece is adorned with vibrant cobalt blue hydrangeas, each secured with a faceted cobalt crystal bead, and complemented by delicate cobalt blue lace and airy blue crinoline bows that add movement and lightness.

It is elegantly finished with a sweeping ivory feather quill, crowned with a faceted cobalt blue crystal, creating a graceful silhouette from every angle.

A contemporary statement piece that beautifully blends traditional craftsmanship with modern femininity.

This is millinery as art, where vegetable fibres, leather, beveled beads and lace converge in fearless harmony! • ||

I designed and created this avant-garde headpiece for myself…because even milliners need hats! 😄

I wore it to the Galway Races 2025 Ladies Day, where style, craftsmanship, and bold statements take centre stage in a celebration of fearless glamour and couture confidence.

This is the Ferrara headpiece

An outstanding medium saucer disc made from hand blocked ivory sinamay straw with a round crown.

This saucer disc hat sits on an angular pillbox base, crafted from hand-blocked buckram covered with the softest white nappa leather.

Three delicate powder blue feather mounts are gracefully attached to the disc with vintage white guipure lace. Soft coque feathers emerge gracefully from each feather mount, creating an ethereal sense of movement and texture. The crown is encircled with hand-sewn powder blue crystal beads, while matching beaded fringe cascades elegantly around the brim, catching the light with every movement. Soft coque feathers sweep effortlessly around the silhouette, adding fluidity, lightness and couture drama.

Completely hand-sewn and fully lined with lavish white satin, the piece is finished with a delicate white braided trim and worn on millinery elastic matched to my hair colour for a seamless fit.

to one of the highlights of my summer of 2025, Ladies Day at the Galway Races.

A day filled with elegance, great company, and the unmistakable excitement that makes this event so special year after year. Spending it with friends, admiring the incredible fashion, and soaking up the atmosphere is always a joy.

If you haven’t experienced Ladies Day yet, I couldn’t recommend it more. From the stunning hats to the beautiful outfits and the wonderful energy, it’s a celebration of style like no other. ✨

Last year I wore one of my couture creations, a statement headpiece combining leather, natural fibres, hundreds of beads, feathers, and antique guipure lace into one bold yet refined design.

I’m pictured here with my gorgeous friend Geraldine, wearing a beautiful headpiece, also designed by me, to complement her outfit. We were enjoying the atmosphere at the elegant Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar, one of my favourite spots at the racecourse. She looks absolutely fabulous.

Now the countdown is officially on. In just one week, Ladies Day at the Galway Races will be back, and I can’t wait to see all the incredible fashion and familiar faces once again.

This is the Ortigia Hat.

A medium saucer disc with a flat brim and button crown, hand-blocked in exquisite sky blue sinamay straw. It is delicately adorned with two graceful sky blue goose feathers, beautifully arranged to create height and movement. Each feather stem is meticulously hand wrapped and finished with fine silk cord for an elegant and refined touch. The design is further enhanced with a delicate cluster of pearls, faceted crystal beads and soft blue glass beads, adding subtle sparkle, texture and dimension while perfectly complementing the ethereal colour palette.

The piece is finished with a refined combination of lighter sky blue petersham ribbon and fine straw braid, forming an elegant hatband that adds subtle texture and distinction.
