Day two of Dublin Maker flew by with tons of chats about two underutilised materials: Irish Wool + Scavenged Seaweed, and how I combine them using two crafts/techniques: Nuno Felting + Cyanotype Printing.
It was a great day - although, too busy to photograph!
Visitors had the opportunity to make a Cyanotype Print on pre-prepared felted diamond-star ornaments that I had created using wool fibre from Co Wexford. Yes, these were hand felted!!
The activity proved popular!
We ran out of diamond-stars, and had to print on watercolour paper bookmarks that I had also prepared in advance! (So glad I brought these!)
Such a wonderful experience!
Will be sending out an email to all those who signed up for my monthly newsletter.
There are two upcoming Sunday workshops in September, where each student gets to make a Pennant Flag. Check out my website, for more information.
