There's a moment I keep coming back to.

Cillian came home with a gift. A top, simple and elegant. He meant well. But when I tried it on, something wasn't right. Not the size, not the colour. Something harder to explain.

I put it back on the hanger. He saw it. That look he'd seen a hundred times before.

He sat down beside me and asked: "Why is it so hard to find something that actually feels like you?"
I didn't have a great answer. Only an honest one.

"Because nobody's really making it for me."
