Hi everyone! Yes I know it’s been a ridiculously long time! About 2 years ago, I decided to try my hand at Knitwear Design. It’s been a whirlwind of hard work and fun! I’ve had several of my designs published in well known knitting magazines and publications, and I also sell my patterns on my website

Wow it's been a while!! Sorry for the long hush, but we've moved 2 countries in the last year! We are now settling back into life in Dublin, Ireland. So your favourite Irish kids knitwear is being knit on your doorstep again👍 and you're still in love my first ever designs. This lot left for Amsterdam this morning 🤗 We haven't quite updated everything yet, so bear with us, but orders can still be placed on www.HotHead.ie

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

To celebrate St. Patrick's Day ☘️ this week, I am giving away my latest pattern, Loingseach, FREE (link below). It's a reversible two tone Fisherman's rib cowl, and it's name has an interesting story. I was researching my mothers’ ancient Galway name of Lynskey, and found that it was derived from the Gaelic word Loingseach, meaning Mariner. The fact that I happen to love the sea 🌊 and rib patterns, and Fisherman’s Rib in particular, meant I had to make this loop scarf/cowl/snood to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
The design is knit with two colours in the round, but gives you fabulous vertical stripes, completely reversible. The result is a brioche fabric look, but with half the work. It's knit in a fabulous Studio Donegal Aran Tweed that I picked up in the charming The Donegal Shop in Dublin last week! Enjoy and Happy St. Patrick's Day :) ☘️❤☘️ ❤☘️❤
