The most beautiful blues can’t be rushed.

They are grown, fermented, hand dyed and patiently brought to life in traditional indigo vats.

Image 1 : Indigo vats from Malkha fabrics,Hyderabad
Image 2 : The Indigo Flower, It’s the blue froth that forms on the surface of a healthy, active fermentation vat. Experienced dyers often look at this bloom to judge whether the vat is in good condition for dyeing.
Image 3 : Women artisans are dyeing the yarns in the vat. They need to keep dipping it till they achieve a desired shade of indigo blue.
