Dear Friends,

As we step into 2021, we would first of all like to thank you for the unconditional love and support that you have showered on Daa Kyka. It kept us going irrespective of all the challenges that came our way (and there were many!) – thank you again for your trust and ongoing faith in us 🙏🏾

It is no surprise that 2020 was a difficult year. We all felt the pain, frustration and challenges that came with it, in varying degrees. The fashion sector was not spared and we experienced first hand the unpredictability of life, business and how things can change overnight – literally. Throughout the months of struggle and stress, we at Daa Kyka knew that we could rely on your cooperation and it was a huge booster for us.

Today we would like to share a very special post with you. For our team and especially our designer Dianeshree Agarwal the creations at Daa Kyka are about spreading joy. Bringing happiness to our clients is at the very core of our craft and with every smile that we come across; our ambition and passion only grow. And when even the pets of our customers embrace our work, then that is indeed the cherry on the cake! 🎯

We would like to showcase a particular shawl from our collection, created after long hours of dedication – hand stitched and customized as unique pieces. The pink/purple shade is an absolute breath of fresh air and looks resplendent on our client dear Aparna (featured below). Even her cute doggie joined in the celebrations.

Fashion does not stop for anyone and as the saying goes; the show must go on!
This is our motto too at Daa kyka and we are pleased to bring to you a customized piece of accessory, which we believe will prove to be both useful and glamorous as the whole world slowly recovers from this pandemic and emerges into a new way of life.

Our designer has come up with these samples of face masks that can be worn as part of an outfit as well as independently. We are currently doing some more research in terms of the different materials that can be used as well as various styles such as embroidery, hand stitching amongst others. In the meantime we wanted to share these two prototypes with you and get your initial reactions to them ☺

In the first sample we have our model wearing a maroon velvet mask enhanced with Swarovski crystals, giving it a more posh look. The second sample features a cotton mask with floral print, which is well suited for everyday wear. Until our next post, keep those positive vibes up and stay stafe!

“Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?” – Frida Kahlo

Such was the boldness and extravagance that oozed from Frida’s personality. She endured immense pain and sorrow throughout her life but she always picked herself up through her passion for creativity and art. This week this magnanimous character has been the inspiration behind Daa kyka’s theme. Frida can instantly be recognized by her eccentric eyebrows and her love for over the top floral head gears – she was one of the pioneers of the latter.

We are thrilled to showcase some shots of floral head wears which our team has been working on in the background. For every woman who wants to stand out, experience with her style or just try something different – this is for you. This is new terrain that we are stepping into and we hope that you will be as excited as we are!

A quote that has resonated with our team throughout this lockdown period. We have all experienced this meditative state in one way or another as we progressed through each day abiding by the isolation and restrictive measures. Daily routines that were taken for granted were highly disrupted, patterns were no longer so and communication started on a whole new level… we became exceedingly aware of our spiritual existence.

Daa kyka sees a fashion revolution taking place once we step out of these challenging times; a new version of women with a heightened sense of freedom and self love. Fashionistas who believe in the unity of their body, mind and soul. They see themselves as beings of pure light and love – like helium balloons floating towards their newfound goals; airless, limitless and most importantly fearless.
