.designs , a slow fashion handloom sarees and accessories brand, led by , a textile designer from NID, Ahmedabad, is set to exhibit their unique collection ‘Godna’ at Our store- Urvi located in the Craft Council of Telangana building on 22nd of December,2023 ‼️

Collaborating directly with weavers in Chhattisgarh, UNMA specializes in developing a distinct range of tussar saris with an innovative design vocabulary. The collection draws inspiration from tribal women’s tattoo art, showcasing motifs such as fire, crops, peacocks, hens, and more, symbolizing their natural surroundings and life stages. With a mission to empower women artisans and cater to evolving customer preferences in handloom textiles, This exhibition aims to highlight the artistry and creativity within handloom weaving while supplementing income for these talented artisans and their families.

A symphony of comfort and artistry, meticulously handcrafted through the timeless technique of hand block-printing on premium & Breathable .

This collection is a heartfelt tribute to the dedicated artisans who poured their precision and skill into every piece, making comfort a celebration of and

Each fabric has been spread flat on a printing table, and the wooden blocks are dipped in the chosen Azo-free dye. The craftsman then presses the block onto each fabric with even pressure to transfer the design. Each colour placed on the fabric might take a full day or more to dry to go further for washing to prevent bleeding of the colour. It’s a beautiful time-consuming process indeed 🍃‼️
