We didn't expect it'd take us fifteen months to launch Kauma.

Kids' clothing fabric isn't held to strict quality rules in India, so a lot of brands use cheaper dyes and skip testing, which is a big reason clothes wear out fast.

We wanted that level of testing to become part of how Kauma operates, even if it took months!

So when we finally held the finished piece, it made sense why none of it could've been rushed.

As parents, we were careful about everything we bought for our kids. Organic this, sustainable that. And yet the wardrobe kept growing with playtime outfits, going-out outfits, birthday specials, festival specials. 30 pieces and still nothing that worked for everything.

So we kept asking, why can't one piece be soft enough for sensitive skin, breathable enough for all day, and put-together enough for a family lunch?
