Dear Meesho,

This is my second public complaint regarding parcel theft and claim rejection.

I am unable to understand your logic. If a parcel is stolen, tampered with, or delivered with missing items, how is the seller responsible for the theft? If I report such incidents and raise support tickets, why is the reason for claim rejection that my "claim ratio is high"?

Naturally, if theft incidents happen multiple times, the number of claims will also increase. That does not mean the claims are false. It simply means the issue is recurring.

What is even more concerning is that your delivery executive often informs me before opening the parcel that it is already tampered. In several cases, the parcel is marked as tampered even before the verification process starts. This raises serious concerns about the handling of shipments.

I have also noticed that in previous claims where my losses were around ₹500-₹550 per order, I was compensated only ₹80, ₹100, or ₹150 and was informed that this is your "standard practice." Now, when parcels are allegedly stolen or tampered with, I am being told that no claim can be approved because my claim ratio is high.

This creates a situation where:
• The seller bears the loss.
• The seller reports the issue.
• The seller's claims are rejected because the seller reported too many issues.

If repeated theft, tampering, and missing-item cases cannot be resolved through your support system, then what is the purpose of providing that support option?

Please do not respond with a generic "DM us your details" message. I have already raised tickets and contacted support multiple times without receiving a satisfactory resolution.

If this issue is not resolved properly, I will be forced to escalate the matter through the Consumer Commission and other appropriate legal channels, because sellers cannot be expected to bear losses arising from theft, tampering, or delivery-related misconduct.

I request a proper investigation into these incidents, a review of my rejected claims, and a clear explanation of why genuine theft-related claims are being denied.

I recently received this response regarding my compensation claim for Order ID: 284545398708800320_1, where the claim was rejected solely because my “claim ratio against returns is significantly higher.”

What is concerning is that repeated claims are being treated as a seller issue instead of addressing the actual root cause — delivery discrepancies and parcel-related issues that sellers repeatedly face.

If a seller reports multiple claims, the first step should be proper verification through stronger proof systems, such as a product scan-and-record feature before dispatch, rather than automatic rejection based on claim ratios.

Sellers invest significant effort and resources into every order. When genuine losses occur, rejecting claims on statistical assumptions shifts the burden entirely onto vendors.

I respectfully request Meesho to strengthen transparency in claim verification and introduce better accountability measures within the delivery process.

A simple solution would be enabling sellers to scan and digitally record packaged products before dispatch, creating fair evidence for both sides.

Seller trust is built through accountability, transparency, and fair resolution — not by declining genuine concerns based on numbers alone.

Hoping this issue receives the attention it deserves for the benefit of all sellers on the platform.

Shocking experience with a courier partner(VALMO). 🚨

One of my parcels containing a ₹1400–₹1500 dress was clearly swapped/stolen during transit. The package arrived with:
❌ No visible tampering
❌ A completely unrelated wet baby float inside
❌ Weight mismatch
❌ Packaging that didn’t match the original parcel properly

I followed EVERY unboxing guideline:
✅ Continuous video
✅ Tracking ID shown
✅ All sides of the package recorded
✅ No cuts or edits

Yet customer support rejected my claim saying the “video was not as per guidelines.”

What’s worse? Many courier systems nowadays allow self-generated receipts and self-entered parcel values, making it easier for accountability to disappear when fraud happens.

Small businesses and sellers suffer the most from this negligence. We work hard for every order while someone casually steals products in transit.

Need stricter investigation systems, accountability, and seller protection in logistics. This cannot become normal.
