I took a break from social media and from my work.
For the past month Iโve been dealing with health issuesโฆ and thereโs still no clear end.
When youโre building a personal brand, running a business, being a content creator, video maker, graphic designer, basically everything at once โ it gets really, really hard.
At the beginning I felt guilty. Even though I was sick, I spent the first two weeks fighting with myself. โHow can I take days off? What about my brand?โ
I donโt batch-create content. I canโt. I need creativity, I need flow, I need to feel things. Thatโs when my content is real. When I force myself into strict timelines, nothing good comes out.
So during this illness, without any content prepared, I kept stressing that I should be ready all the timeโฆ but my body simply said no. It shut down. It protested.
The last two weeks I finally let go. I slept. I stayed in bed. I watched Netflix and the medicine that was supposed to help with one thing created a whole new set of side effectsโฆ so now Iโm dealing with something else too.
Itโs been a monthโฆ
Tomorrow I was supposed to come back full of energy and motivationโฆ but instead I need to visit another doctor.
And it made me think.
In this whole process of creating, building, chasing money and goalsโฆ we forget about rest. We forget that weโre humans, not machines.
At some point your body says stop. Mine did. Hard.
Iโm writing this as a reminder: take your days off and rest. Listen to your body. We truly have time for everything.
Because in this marathon, itโs not only our relationships that sufferโ our health goes first and without our healthโฆ we have nothing.
XOXO,
Kinga
