Established in 1981, with the aim to provide the finest quality of bespoke tailoring and made-to-measure
to clients, “The Darzi” today after over three decades enjoys a cult status and is considered as the trusted expert in menswear. Each garment is a product of the stringent quality checks, latest technology and unmatched craftsmanship as all karigars as well as the machines are in-house and no garment is outsourced. The driving force behind this, Mr.Mital was the first to computerize the complete tailoring operations in Delhi in 1986, a term unheard in those days. At “The Darzi” ,we aim to create the highest quality tailored garments and take great pride that we are among the very few in the world to provide the highest level of personalized tailoring experience to our clients. Mr.Mital himself helps them to choose the fabrics, take their measurements, cut the patterns and give the final fitting. Heading the team of our master pattern cutters he looks over all other aesthetics with an eagles eye. To take the legacy forward, his son Mr. Sushain Mital is the first Indian to professionally obtain a degree in Honors in Bespoke Tailoring and masters degree in Pattern Design and Garment technology from London College of Fashion, UK. A finalist of “ The Best Tuxedo Award” by Henry Poole & Co. To celebrate 150 years of Tuxedo existence, he has had the privilege of working with the greatest tailors on Savile Row, London like Richard James and Henry Poole & Co. As recognition of their efforts, “The Darzi” was awarded the “ The Most Admired Menswear Tailor-North India” in the very first year of inception of this category by Images, at the In-Fashion Honors 2013, which is one of the most comprehensive fashion textiles and apparel sector business events in India. Together they continue to strive in their endeavour to give a new dimension to the tailoring industry. Studio Firang by The Darzi was established by Mr. Sunil Mital as a luxury menswear retail store at par with international luxury stores. The vision was to fill the void in Indian market and to make available to Indian consumer, the best in menswear which is classic yet modern and at par with the latest in the international fashion market.
