It was started as a small shop in 1977 by Mr.Chinnamani, Mr.Udhayakumar and Mr.Gopala Krishnan with a borrowed investment of Rs.1600 and some cash by mortgaging family's jewellery. Our journey has been a roller-coaster with lot's of learning and growing. SVGS is now a one-stop solution for provisions in Pondicherry and Cuddalore across eight locations. nnamani never stopped dreaming big and implementing new plans on flourishing the business. Closing a deal with "POPULAR" Appalam was one of the turning points in the history of SVGS as it involved being present among huge competitors and big distribution deals with major companies. One of our biggest achievements was when we started to manufacture our own products such as masalas, health drinks and our unique mango varieties. A small provisional store that was started with an intention to help the survival of a family is now a popular supermarket in Pondicherry. This family legacy continues with the same vision and now the wings of SVGS have spread to seven locations in Pondicherry and to Cuddalore with online orders. Our sole purpose is to make grow and provide a holistic experience to our customers.
