Over three days in London and Milan, Aquascutum Active and The Soccer Archive came together across both cities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Club Check, bringing together two worlds connected by the same belief: the things that truly matter only grow stronger with time.

For years, The Soccer Archive has preserved the shirts that shaped football culture. More than jerseys, they are symbols of generations, away days, unforgettable matches and the communities that gave them meaning.

For fifty years, the Club Check has been one of those enduring patterns, quietly becoming part of British cultural history.

Across both the London and Milan pop-ups, the spaces became more than retail environments. They were meeting points for collectors, creatives, football supporters and everyone who understands that clothing can carry stories far beyond the fabric itself.

London and Milan.
London cannot be described. It doesn’t greet you with an embrace, but with a polite reserve that, if
you’re patient enough to stay, dissolves into something truer than any instant enthusiasm ever could.
It’s a city that doesn’t ask to be loved straight away; it simply wants to be watched closely: one pint at
a time, one sudden downpour at a time, until one day you realise that polite reserve has, without your
noticing, become home.

Milan is an open-air laboratory where past and future speak to one another every day. It’s the city of
timeless elegance, one that reinvents itself while remaining true to its nature. Milan only truly reveals
itself when you get lost in it. It’s there, amid the city’s “hidden corners,” that its most authentic
character comes to light. You slow your pace and often find yourself out of sync, absorbed by the
frenetic rhythm of city life.

It is in these two cities that Aquascutum Active has chosen to celebrate 50 years of the Club Check
with a special project: two pop-ups from 24th to 26th July, at the two locations of The Soccer Archive,
an archive-store bringing together some of the game’s most iconic designs from sought-after 90s
classics and match-worn pieces to must-have archive staples. On the shelves: a limited-edition
capsule collection of football t-shirts, a DJ set, and a free fanzine with every jersey purchased.
