Io sono un uomo antico,
che ha letto i classici,
che ha raccolto l’uva nella
vigna, che ha contemplato
il sorgere o il calare del sole
sui campi.
Non so quindi cosa farmene
di un Mondo creato, con la
violenza, dalla necessità
della produzione e del
consumo.
Detesto tutto di esso: la
fretta, il frastuono, la
volgarità, l'arrivismo.
Sono un uomo che
preferisce perdere piuttosto
che vincere con modi sleali
e spietati.
E il bello è che ho la
sfacciataggine di difendere
tale colpa, di considerarla
quasi una virtù.
