https://instagram.com/thefoxintheatticstudio My name is Michelle. I work from home, in London and sell my items on Etsy.

I love being creative, sewing, drawing, painting, baking and cooking! If you would like anything special or bespoke, please send me a message, I would be happy to help. Having lived in a small house close to the River Thames with my husband-to-be and our ginger cat Floyd, enjoying cooking and tending to the garden, I decided on a whim to try my hand at sewing. Throwing myself in at the deep end, I

bought a sewing machine, taught myself embroidery, made my first soft animal toy (a bunny) and before I knew it The Fox In The Attic was up and running! A world of possibilities swiftly opened itself up to me, and my ever-growing range of hand-made items began to include cats, foxes, dogs, pin-cushions, napkins, owls and even clouds! I take inspiration from a huge range of people, places and things: from travel (Sicily, Paris, Amsterdam, Cornwall) to Art (Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh, Beatrix Potter) to world history (medieval tapestries/illustrated manuscripts), and the Arts & Crafts movements spear-headed by William Morris. My more esoteric tastes include obscure Victorian botanical illustrations, old postcards, visiting museums and stately homes, antique jewellery (often found in flea-markets around the world) - and I'm also a total sucker for period-films (anything by Jane Austen and I'm there!). (All of my artwork represented here and elsewhere, is protected by copyright)
