Wearing a single engineered structure on your face.
From Berlin-based KUBORAUM, this is “Maske Z51 RH”.
KUBORAUM treats eyewear as “masks” that amplify the wearer’s character, rather than simple vision tools. Maske Z51 is one of the core pieces in their industrial metal line, featuring a bold square shape built with straight lines, sharp edges and layered construction.
The multi‑part front, exposed screws and stepped bridge and rims create an exoskeleton‑like frame that feels more like a machine or device than a conventional pair of glasses. Asymmetrical hinges and branching temples complete a design that looks as if it was engineered for another world.
The RH color is a dark matte gunmetal that enhances the mechanical, inorganic mood while highlighting the frame’s three‑dimensional structure under changing light.

アイウェア＝マスクというコンセプトのもと、掛ける人の内面を増幅させるために設計された Z51。直線と角を強く打ち出したスクエアシェイプと、レイヤー構造のフロントは、まるで工業製品や機械の内部構造のような“外骨格”を形成します。
左右非対称のヒンジや分岐しながら収束するテンプルなど、細部まで徹底した設計思想が貫かれていて、「デザインされた眼鏡」というより「組み上げられた装置」に近い存在感。
RHカラーはダークマットガンメタル。光の陰影で立体感が際立ち、無機質さと色気が同居する一本です
