DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BALE & PICKING PIECES
The reason why I always encourage beginners to start with bales is because bales come with many pieces that can generate higher profit without much struggle. Buying single pieces requires more time and leaves sellers with very small profit margins.
For example:
One bale of children mix costs Ksh 12,000 and contains around 250 sellable pieces. These clothes can be sold between Ksh 100 to 300 depending on the type and quality.
If you buy the bale at Ksh 12,000 and decide to sell every piece at only Ksh 100, you can still make over Ksh 13,000 profit.
On the other hand, if someone uses Ksh 10,000 to source single pieces at Ksh 100 each, they will only go home with 100 pieces. Those 100 pieces may not even generate more than Ksh 3,000 profit.
Going to Gikomba market to source single pieces is also very tiresome and cumbersome because it involves waking up very early, moving from one kibanda to another, and struggling through overcrowded places while pushing one another.
Starting with bales saves time, reduces stress, and gives beginners a better chance to grow their business faster.
