**New Foreign Worker Policy Direction by the president Lee Jae-myung Administration**

The new government has announced plans to improve conditions for foreign workers in Korea. Key policy directions include:

1. Improving working and housing conditions for foreign workers.
2. Strengthening efforts to prevent industrial accidents.
3. Expanding Korean language education.
4. Stricter penalties for abusive employers.
5. Reopening Foreign Support Centers nationwide (previous government had closed them).
6. Allowing E-9 visa holders to work for over 10 years without leaving Korea (in 3-year terms).
7. Easing restrictions on E-9 workplace changes.
8. Expanding the E-7 visa and supporting migration and settlement.
9. Adding the construction industry to the E-7-3 visa category.
10. Making it easier for construction workers to change companies.

These plans have been reported to the president and are expected to be implemented step by step.

E74R, F2R Official Announcement (Confirmed)

This visa will be implemented for 2 years until 2026.

5,072 people will be selected from 85 local governments.

Implemented in 107 regions. (87 regions with population decline, 18 regions of interest)

E74R
E9, E10 workers who have worked in Korea for more than 2 years can apply.

Must meet the score requirements of E74.

After working for 3 years with E74R, it can be changed to F2R.

E74R family members can also get a job.

It is possible for both regions with population decline and regions of interest.

F2R

Must complete Korean level 4 or higher.

Freely available for employment without industry restrictions.

가평(Gapyeong) : 60 people
연천(Yeoncheon): 70 people

동두천(Dongducheon) and 포천(Pocheon) are not areas with a population decline, so there is no quota.
