Two Aigulline dresses and a vest were used in this festive video about Nauryz, the holiday celebrated by many nationalities. See if you can recognize them! Plus the white felt costumes of Ulytau group (at 00:54) were all made in Aigulline workshop.

Do you know what the pattern in our profile picture means? This small wall carpet is called Kozteemes.

Kazakhs had lots of superstitions. Kozteemes is translated as "Protection from the evil eye". This pattern was used to protect babies and children from evil force - as an embellishment on their hats. The ancient name of the pattern is Zhylanbas, which means Snake heads, as the patterns resembling snake heads were meant to draw the eye away from the baby.

We'd like to offer you a documentary about Kazakh felting tradition. It's got the Yurts (nomadic portable homes), shows the felting process and the traditional patterns. Overall, the doc is really beautiful!

Our carpets have a very soft texture, they're very light yet durable thanks to the unique felting method, washable, 4 to 8 mm thick and can come in any size up to 2x3 metres.

We had the honor of making outfits for participants of the 2013 Junior Eurovision contest! At the left and below are photos taken during the group’s fitting session at the workshop. To the right is a screenshot of the show's shooting at the studio in Kiyev, Ukraine.

Making the girls’ silk outfits, with fuschia-colored underskirts and traditional Kazakh pattern, was a true joy. These photos don’t quite reflect the beauty of the costumes.

In May of 2013, a group of women from Holland visited us to learn how to make small felt seat covers. The women were very impressed with how strenuous it is even to make a small felt piece. And when they saw the traditional Kazakh pattern being applied, they were absolutely stunned!

The last time we spoke with one of the ladies, she said the group was planning on returning to Kazakhstan soon for another felting class. We can’t wait to have them back!
