For Saher’s big day, CLAD and she zeroed in on an ethereal bespoke Manish Malhotra couture lehenga, customized exactly to Saher’s tastes. Tailored from an unusual sage green fabric, the lehenga was encrusted with crystals and pearls, featuring dainty pearl tassels, intricate embroidery, a dupatta and a custom-made veil for the bride. The ends of the veil were embroidered with the concluding words from Saher’s vows to Quinn: “In This World and The Hereafter.”

The bride’s jewellery was kept complementary to the pastel lehenga, featuring large green stones, and simple but bold shapes that let the outfit shine.

Quinn’s ivory sherwani was handcrafted from raw silk, with a subtle geometric pattern that paid homage to the Rabari tribes of Gujarat, as well as Chikankari embroidery from Lucknow. A pocket square and shawl completed the groom’s look. Their beloved dog, Knox played ringbearer, with his very own custom bandana made from the same fabric as Quinn’s sherwani 🕊️

After a wedding that was nothing less than poetry, Saher and Quinn slipped into decidedly glamorous attire for their reception, that was inspired by old Hollywood glamour.

Styled by CLAD. Saher donned an ivory Gaurav Gupta couture gown, adorned with strings of pearls and jewels that were both ‘20s flapper inspired, yet also incredibly sleek and modern in its silhouette, while Quinn, in perfect contrast, wore a sharp ikat jacquard Ralph Lauren tuxedo. Every element of the couple’s outfit was intentional, flaunting the transcontinental cultures that collided when they fell in love.

Saher and Quinn ambled through the bride’s hometown for the first time as husband and wife before the reception, which was held at the Brooklyn-coded The Press Room 🕊️

For Saher and Quinn, love began eight years ago with a sheepish question on the first date, and the hope that feelings might be mutual. Holding each other through the highs and lows of life, Saher and Quinn found home in the cities New York and Washington D.C. So, it felt like serendipity when the venue of their wedding, the historic East Tennessee marble quarry that they decided to get married in near the bride’s house supplied the marble used in New York Public Library and the National Gallery of Art in D.C., places that played a key role in their years-long love story.

Saher and Quinn chose to celebrate their union in ways that felt authentic to them, starting with a private exchange of vows atop a cliff, with nobody else around. Then, they held a nikah ceremony translated by Quinn’s sister, and a non-denominational one by Saher’s sister.

Eschewing traditional reds, CLAD styled the bride in a custom pistachio-green lehenga by Manish Malhotra that perfectly matched the muted hues of the quarry and the floral arbor, while Quinn wore an Ivory sherwani by Divyam Mehta, which featured delicate chikankari embroidery and patterns inspired by the indigenous handicrafts of India.

Among melodies by Prince, Om Shanti Om, butterflies, and bald eagles circling the wedding, Quinn and Saher became man and wife 🕊️
