Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has brought his signature intensity from the stage to the roads, proving that age is no barrier when it comes to endurance. Even in his 60s, he has taken on the marathon distance multiple times, including several appearances at the Los Angeles Marathon.
His performances have been far from casual, recording strong sub-four-hour finishes such as 3:53:00 in 2011 and an even faster 3:41:49 in 2012. Beyond the personal challenge, each race has carried a deeper purpose, as he used his efforts to support his nonprofit organization, the Silverlake Conservatory of Music.
Flea’s journey in marathon running reflects more than just physical fitness. It showcases his commitment to an active lifestyle, his love for music, and his desire to give back to the community in a meaningful way.
