On others, it carries a little more warmth.

Fine ribs running the length of the dress.

A cowl neckline, worn on the shoulder or eased below it. Two ties drawing in the waist.

It follows the body before opening into a slender line toward the ankle.

A side slit catching a longer stride. The hem brushing stair edges, wooden floors, the last light across a doorway.

Returned to the wardrobe carrying the shape of the day.

A sketch.
A cone of yarn.
An afternoon that disappeared into making.

The pieces we remember are rarely the newest.
They're the ones that travelled with us.

There is beauty in repetition.
Threading another needle.
Knitting another panel.
Beginning again.

Four years later,

we are still learning how to make clothes that feel lived in before they become old.
