Big update from Tsmart Collections 🚀

I’m excited to share that I’ve successfully secured a slot and onboarded for the Abia Techrise cohort 3.0 program.

For the next 3 months, I’ll be learning full-stack development with JavaScript (web & mobile) as part of my vision to build a more tech-driven brand.

One major goal at the end of this journey is to build a website for Tsmart Collections — making it easier to order handmade fashion accessories in bulk for resale, gifts, and personal use.

Growth is happening, and we’re building for the future 💙

Are you based in Aba or Port Harcourt?

I get this question a lot about Tsmart Collections.

So here's the real story.

Before gaining admission to study Economics at Uniport in 2020, I had already learned footwear making in Aba. At some point, I was producing hundreds of male palm slippers weekly and supplying mainly wholesale buyers.

But when school started, I faced a small personal challenge. Even though I had support as a student, I didn't like being completely dependent for everything. I prefer having some control over my finances.

So during my first holiday in Year 1, I travelled back to Aba and resumed production again. When school resumed, I returned to Uniport with some of the stock.

From there, the hustle continued:
• I rented a small stand on campus
• I worked with student resellers
• I still delivered bulk orders from Aba

At some point in Year 3, I took a break to focus fully on my academics. But one thing I’m proud of is that I never completely lost track of my business.

Today, Tsmart Collections operates from both Aba and Port Harcourt.

Aba remains our production base, while we have a pickup stand at Uniport (Choba Campus) to serve our growing customers in Port Harcourt.

We currently specialize in male and female leather slippers for casual, native, outdoor, and everyday wear. And yes, we deliver nationwide for both wholesale and retail orders.

How do you know a product is good?
People say it.

Last week we introduced 7 female slipper designs to our collection. We started with male palm slippers, but ladies kept asking for theirs.

While producing the first batch (about 40 pairs), we noticed an issue — something common with first attempts. Instead of managing it, we condemned some materials and started again to maintain the quality we want.

The feedback from customers has been amazing. Some people even asked if the slippers were handmade or foreign.

Special thanks to our female footwear designer for maintaining the quality our brand represents despite the extra stress.

We also noticed a few size issues for ladies with bigger feet — that will be corrected in the next batch.

We are active online and offer nationwide delivery for both wholesale and retail.
