I'm not the woman I was five years ago.

And honestly?

I'm grateful.

I've outgrown versions of myself I once thought I'd be forever.

I've changed my mind.
I've changed my direction.
I've learned.
I've unlearned.
I've fallen.
I've risen.

And I'm still becoming.

Maybe that's the most beautiful part of life.

You don't have to have everything figured out.

You just have to keep becoming.

The woman I am today is still a work in progress, and I love her already.

My dear, this is not a "just sew it" dress.
This is the type of gown that swallows millions in materials, labor, expertise, and countless hours of hand embellishment. The designer didn't wake up one morning and produce this masterpiece between breakfast and lunch. 😂
So when your designer gives you a price and your ancestors suddenly sit up in surprise, please remember that luxury is expensive because craftsmanship is expensive.

Many people think the most expensive mistake in fashion is cutting the wrong fabric.

The most expensive mistake is starting work without proper measurements.

A wrong measurement can lead to:

❌ Poor fitting garments

❌ Wasted fabric

❌ Repeated alterations

❌ Delayed delivery

❌ Unhappy clients

❌ Loss of trust and referrals

As fashion designers, we must understand that measurements are the foundation of every successful outfit. A beautiful fabric cannot save a poorly measured garment.

That is why professional designers take their time during measurement sessions. Every inch matters. Every detail counts.

In fashion, accuracy is not perfectionism; it is professionalism.

Before you touch your fabric, check your measurements.
Before you cut, confirm your measurements.
Before you sew, review your measurements.

A few extra minutes can save you days of correction.

Two Years Ago Today... ❤️
Exactly 2 years ago today, I sat in this orientation class at Humble Fashion Academy with a heart full of hope, dreams, and so many questions about the future.
I didn't know how far the journey would take me, but I made one of the best decisions of my life by saying YES to learning and growth.
Today, as I look back at these pictures, my heart is filled with gratitude. Gratitude to God for ordering my steps, and gratitude to my boss and mentor for giving me the opportunity to learn, grow, and become better.
The skills, knowledge, discipline, and confidence I gained have contributed immensely to the woman and fashion entrepreneur I am today.
Two years later, I am still grateful. ❤️
To anyone thinking of investing in themselves, this is your sign. The decision you make today can change your story tomorrow.
Thank you, Humble Fashion Academy. Thank you for being part of my journey.
