Today, I celebrate not just another year of life, but the strength, the scars, the growth, and the quiet victories that have shaped me into the woman I am.
From the very beginning, life threw its punches - yet I stood. A survivor not by chance, but by divine design. What others crumbled under, I carried. What others ran from, I faced. Not because it was easy, but because I was built differently. I am proof that strength doesn’t always roar — sometimes, it’s silent, consistent, graceful... just like me.
I was raised right. My mum laid a foundation of discipline, values, and self-respect that I carry with pride every single day. Her strength made me strong. Her sacrifices shaped me. I am who I am because she poured into me with everything she had.
I’ve never needed the crowd to feel complete.
I’ve never bent under the weight of peer pressure or lost myself trying to fit in. I’m content — deeply and truly — and that’s my superpower. I move at my own pace, with my own rhythm, and I’m proud of that.
No, I’m not where I want to be yet. But I’m definitely not where I used to be. Every step I take is progress, and even in the waiting, I trust that I’m on my way. My story is still unfolding, and I know that everything l’ve been through ispreparing me for something greater.
So today, I celebrate me — the woman who has survived, stood tall, stayed grounded, and kept going.
As I step into this new year of life, I pray for continued strength — the kind that keeps me standing no matter what.
I pray for peace that quiets every storm, and joy that flows even in the waiting.
I ask God to honor the discipline, the contentment, and the quiet decisions I’ve made that no one saw.
May He open new doors, align me with purpose, and reward my heart that has held on even when things didn’t make sense.
Where l’ve been delayed, may I be divinely accelerated. Where I’ve been unseen, may I now be divinely recognized. Where I’ve been underestimated, may grace lift me.
And through it all, may I never forget: I am not just surviving - I am becoming.
