A Letter to my dear friend,

There are people who clap for you when the world starts to notice you and then there are people like you who clap when it’s still quiet, when it’s still small. You were that person for me.
Twenty-three years ago we met and you have been a constant in my life in a way that only a few people ever get to be, and I don’t take that for granted. Since 2009, you have shown up for me not just as a friend, but as a believer. When I started my brand in 2013, it was just a seed but you treated it like it was already flourishing. You didn’t wait for it to become something “big” before you stood behind it. You stood there from the very beginning.

You wore my pieces with pride (ten iro and buba sets and several pieces we released) not just bought, but worn with love and confidence. You didn’t just support quietly, you spoke loudly about Kira Blanc and cheered me on when I struggled to believe in myself. You told your friends, your family, anyone who would listen. You referred me with a kind of passion that felt like the brand was yours and in many ways, it is.
You opened a door I couldn’t have imagined myself just by calling my brand in a room that mattered! That shift carries your fingerprints, and I will never forget that.

This month, as we reflect on the theme “Gift to Gain,” I can say that you are one of the greatest gifts life gave me.

Thank you for pouring into me so selflessly.
