Every 5th of June we celebrate World Environment Day. The theme for this year is “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” and at Uptex Ltd, we’ve been living this theme since 2018 📌

♻️ NATURE gives us the materials, the problems, and the solutions. Inspired by that, we started Blessn Evea Signature, now UpTex (a registered Nigerian social enterprise that upcycles worn-out fashion items and recycles discarded PET bottles. We transform these items into durable fashion pieces and household items.

♻️ FOR CLIMATE, every sustainable solution we provide keeps waste out of landfills and drains, cuts emissions, and proves that circularity beats “trashing out.” ❌

♻️ FOR OUR FUTURE, we are building eco-conscious people 👌not just products. Through UpTex Craft Academy, we train community women, serving corps members, teens, & kids to start circular businesses in their communities, lead climate action & upcycle instead of trashing out.

A lot happened in MAY.
📌We Rebranded from Blessn Evea Signature to UpTex.

📌Completed a paid partnership bootcamp with The Gospel Experience where we trained 15 teens on climate education and Upcycling (Started in April, ended in May = results delivered)

📌We got New clients. New sales. New wins.

JUNE = Bigger impact. Better results. More clarity.
We only level up from here 🙌

Third Frame: 👉 In case you are wondering why we preach sustainability but still use nylon for our packaging 😁😁

Well, I want you to know that sustainability is about better choices👌not perfection 🥹
We already Upcycle products that are weather-proof and sustainable, so the nylon is just protection✅

We provide this option for our clients because we want their Upcycled products♻️to be protected from dust. For now, this is the option we have (with good intention of course) until we are able to transition to a 100% plastic-free packaging ♻️

So using nylon to package doesn’t cancel BES as a sustainability brand 😅
