I Never Thought It Would Happen to Me... Until It Did.

Have you ever looked at someone else's misfortune and quietly thought, "Thank God that's not me"?

That was me.

I had heard stories of people waking up to discover their phones had been stolen while they slept. I'd sympathize with them, shake my head, and move on. Deep down, I never imagined I would become one of those stories.

The night before, I had attended a night vigil. It was beautiful. I prayed about everything—my future, my purpose, my family, my dreams... just everything.

Before sleeping, I set my alarm for 6:00 a.m. because I didn't want to miss morning prayers.

But something unusual happened.

I opened my eyes and instinctively reached for my phone.

It wasn't there.

"Maybe I dropped it," I thought.

I checked under the pillow.

Nothing.

Under the bed.

Nothing.

Inside the blanket.

Still nothing.

Then I looked toward the window...

The net had been sliced open.

At that moment, my heart sank.

Someone had entered while I was fast asleep and walked away with my phone.

Just like that.

No noise.
No warning.
No struggle.
No chance to stop it.

The most painful part wasn't even the phone itself.

It was everything inside it—my pictures, important documents, contacts, notes, memories, and things I hadn't backed up.

In one unexpected moment, they were gone.

As I sat there trying to process everything, one thought wouldn't leave my mind:

"This is exactly how the rapture will happen."

Unexpected.

Silent.

Sudden.

One moment, everything seems normal.

The next moment... everything changes forever.

Many people think they'll have enough time to prepare for Jesus. They believe they'll repent later, pray later, surrender later, or take God seriously when they're older.

But what if "later" never comes?

Jesus said His coming would be like a thief in the night—not because He is a thief, but because His return will catch many people by surprise.

Just as I never expected to wake up and discover something valuable was gone, many will wake up one day to discover that millions have disappeared—and the opportunity they thought they still had is gone forever.

The question isn't whether Jesus is coming.

He is.

The real question is:

If He came today... would you be ready?

Don't wait until surprise becomes regret.

Be ready.

Because the greatest event in history won't send a reminder notification before it happens.
