Iya Osogbo was the wife of the late Chief Oyin Adejobi, a famous Yoruba actor.
Iya Osogbo's nickname was derived from the title of a popular film in which she acted in 1999, "Eran Iya Oshogbo."
She began her acting career roughly 67 years ago, and she indicated that she had already made her name before starring in the film "Eran Iya Osogbo," therefore correcting the public's perception of her name.
