One thing I seriously struggled with when I started my thrift wear business was taking clear pictures of my products.
If you sell turkey wears, most of the designs already come with model pictures and even ready-made videos to help you market them. But thrift? You have to create everything yourself from styling to photography to presentation.
I kept telling myself, “Let me wait until I get better lighting… let me wait until I get a better phone… let me wait until I arrange my space well.”
Then one day I had an honest conversation with myself:
There will never be a perfect time.
If I keep waiting for everything to be perfect, I will never start.
So I picked a few items, used what I had, snapped the clearest pictures I could, and posted them.
And guess what? It worked.
Some of you reading this are still waiting. Waiting for money. Waiting for the right tools. Waiting to look like “big brands” before you start.
But let me tell you something you don’t have to be like others before you begin.
Some women carry okrika on their head, hold it up to people passing by, and they make sales. Not because everything is perfect. But because they started.
All you truly need is a willing mind and the courage to begin.
Even the big pages you admire today are battling something behind the scenes. Growth doesn’t remove challenges it just changes the level.
So stop waiting. Start messy. Start small. Start scared. But start.
And if you’re building something business, brand, skill tell me what you’re starting this week. Let’s grow together.
