We are saying "Thank you" to all our mentors for a truly amazing experience in the back-to-work mentorship program.
The call was simple: help these moms move from where they are to where they want to be with respect to work, sharing from your experience and wealth of knowledge.
And they delivered beyond expectations:
Dr. Sophia Igbineweka, an Optometrist, Author, and founder of Jemi Baby Care Ltd and the CEO Mom Initiative introduced the sessions by showing moms that it's possible to birth babies and still build in the season of childbirth, by leveraging opportunities for growth and work that doesn't compromise family commitments.
Mr. Silver Ajakaiye, a Business Strategist, and founder of NextAge Technology with years of experience building businesses and guiding business people on profitability in business took the moms on business fundamentals from both a Biblical and Business principle foundation.
Mr. Andrew Igbineweka, a Learning Experience Designer, Ecosystem builder, Author, and founder of The Networking Salon Ltd with years of experience developing people, curriculums, and communities showed the moms the difference between positioning career as a business and career as a job seeker.
Mrs. Maureen Obeta, a Customer Success Manager with over 10 years of experience in sales, customer success, and business growth took the moms in a practical session on applying for remote jobs and acing it with simple tips and little extra efforts that make all the difference.
Mrs. Esther Sanusi, a self-taught Android Engineer with over 6 years experience building & shipping 20+ live applications that have reached more than 10 million people across Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS — without a formal background in tech, showed the moms how to do the same.
Mrs. Chigozie Cynthia Gershon, a Public Health Research Writer, Speaker, and author of Storms: Real Stories on Motherhood and Mental Health, unveiled to moms an often overlooked career opportunity for moms in Research Writing, sharing from her own journey starting out in Academic Research Writing and building up to Public Health Research Writing.
