Christmas is coming and a lot of you will be getting married to people you have not met, people you hardly know or people you have reservations about.

Let me say this once again:

Marrying someone you met in few weeks is not just risky, it's foolishness.

A lot of you might argue that our parents did it and it worked for them.

Let me tell you.

It worked for them because their generation saw marriage as a lottery and not a union of people with shared ideals.
In their days, you endure marriage, you don't enjoy it. To them, marriage is a necessary evil.

It's not so in our time.

We don't endure. We speak and we speak loudly.

These days we put things like s*xual compatibility and reaction under pressure into considerations before getting married.

So, it's important that before you get yourself into that lifetime commitment, you consider the following things, at least.

* Are both of you s*xually compatible. The size of the ge***al, the frequency of the s*x, the duration of the s*x. You might think this is not important but trust me, s*x is arguably the most important aspect of marriage.

* How do you both react when disappointed, angry, sad.

* What is his REAL take on you pursuing a career.

* What is his opinion about some important issues.

All these things can't be gleaned in few weeks. You need more time than that as people tend to be on their best behaviours at the initial stage of relationships.

Avoid substituting your sense and sensibility with sitting in front of a Benz.

Nobody has ever died from not getting married but a lot have died from not marrying right.

Use your head, else someone else will use it for you.
