One lesson that has shaped the way I work as a Virtual Assistant:

Never let your ego stop you from learning.

There have been moments when I had no immediate answer to a client's request. Instead of pretending to know it all, I asked questions, researched thoroughly, explored different solutions, and kept learning until I found the best approach.

To some people, that might look like inexperience.

But to my clients, it looks like commitment.

As Virtual Assistants, we don't get paid for knowing everything—we get paid for finding solutions, thinking critically, staying resourceful, and delivering results.

Sometimes, you may feel like you're starting from scratch. Sometimes, you'll quietly do hours of research just to complete one task perfectly. Your client may never see that process.

What they will see is the outcome:
✔️ A problem solved.
✔️ A task completed with excellence.
✔️ A dependable professional they can trust.

Don't be afraid to ask questions.
Don't be afraid to learn.
Don't be afraid to think differently.

The Virtual Assistant who stays curious, humble, and committed to excellence will always stand out.

MARRIAGE HAS DISAPPOINTED ME.
At 49, with just one child, I never imagined marriage would make me feel this lonely.

I was the “good girl” everyone admired before marriage — respectful, calm, hardworking, and family-oriented. I left Imo State with so much love in my heart to marry the man I thought would protect me and cherish me in his Cross River home.

But somewhere after the wedding, everything changed.

The love disappeared.The affection faded.The emotional connection never existed.

Instead of feeling like a wife, I became a stranger in my own home… like a house help assigned to cook, clean, and endure silence.

His family’s aggression broke me slowly. Every effort to keep peace became another reason to call me a “bad wife.” The same woman people once praised for her good character suddenly became the problem.

Sometimes, the most painful part of marriage is not physical pain…It is being emotionally abandoned while still wearing a wedding ring.

Many women are silently surviving this reality.Smiling outside.Breaking inside.

My journey so far from being a Fashion Designer to being a Tech-Savvy Virtual Assistant.
Couple of years ago, while still in secondary school, I discovered something that would quietly shape my future — fashion designing.

What started as a simple hobby soon became part of me. While other students spent holidays resting, I spent mine learning how to sew, cut patterns, and understand fabrics. I attended fashion training classes during every school break, balancing education with the determination to learn a skill that I truly loved.

The training was not easy. Discipline was strict. If you arrived late, you were asked to kneel outside facing the busy highway while people passed by and stared. At that time, it felt embarrassing and difficult, but looking back today, those moments built resilience, patience, discipline, and strength in me.

Over the years, fashion became more than a business. It became a journey of growth, responsibility, creativity, and service. Through dedication and consistency, I built my brand, trained others, and gained valuable experience in customer relations and business management.

Today, that same passion for growth has led me into the digital space. I am now a trained Tech-Savvy Virtual Assistant, supporting businesses with digital tools, CRM systems, customer communication, workflow organization, productivity support, and business operations management.
My journey proves that skills evolve, but discipline, consistency, and the willingness to learn will always open new doors.
From kneeling outside a tailoring shop for coming late…
to helping businesses grow with technology and digital solutions.
The journey has truly been worth it.
